Daytona Bike
Week (Daytona Florida) Perhaps it was the appeal of hard sand,
warm winter days and the excitement of that first motorcycle race on the beach,
that made Daytona Beach the home of Bike Week. Maybe it was the spirited
activities surrounding the event that have kept people keep coming back.
Whatever the case, Bike Week has been a tradition since January 24, 1937 - the
inaugural running of the Daytona 200. Source:

Toyota Trucks International
Motorcycle Show (Daytona, FL) In response to the industry's request for
an exposition during Bike Week, the Daytona show was started as a combined
trade and consumer show in 1971 at the New Plaza Hotel by Dealernews magazine -
business to business during the day, doors open to enthusiasts at night! Since
then, the show has evolved to reflect the distinct consumer needs unique to an
atmosphere that can only be experienced during Bike Week. Today, you'll find it
at the Speedway, where all the action is centered. Source:
